The H+W Roof Renovation is a Victorian attic space transformation into sleeping quarters, incorporating an alcove window bath tub, bathroom and sauna. Space is organized around existing natural light sources and roof geometry, while using deliberate surface creases to choreograph spatial subdivision sequence of the open space plan. This project required new structural hanger support of the existing refurbished cross beams to enable the sense of spatial lightness and visual continuity between functional spaces using clerestory. Built-in fireplace and cabinetry are integrated into the geometric creases to reduce the need for free-floating objects within the layout.
